Has anyone tried making a keg of tonic water (or other soda for that matter) using Sodastream flavors? I would think I could mix two bottles with 18 liters of water directly in the keg, then carbonate and have my tonic water on tap again. Works most of the time - I find that getting the flow is tricky as too much will close the valve built into the Sodastream tanks. I think this may be designed specifically to prevent people from straying from their syrup. I want to supply my Sodastream from a tank in another room, through the wall (with appropriate adapters, of course). I've also been only filling when my CO2 tank is full: I just hold on to the empties until tank day and batch fill all of them.
